| Condomínio da Biodiversidade (Biodiversity Condominium) |

| The Condomínio da Biodiversidade (ConBio) is an open non-profit group. Members of the public and private sectors, physical persons and institutions of the civil society constitute it. It was formed in the year 2000 and its objective is to stimulate attitudes that invert processes of environmental degradation and preserve the existing biodiversity in remaining areas of native vegetation in all 26 municipalities of the metropolitan region of Curitiba , Southern Brazil. |

| In 2005 was provided continuity to the actions of the ConBio by a partnership between the HSBC Bank and two organisations of the civil society of public interest of Curitiba , the Wildlife Research and Environmental Education Society (SPVS) and the Institute of Environmental Studies 'MATER NATURA'. These partners admit the importance of the social and environmental responsibility as an element at service of the collective well-being. |

| Action lines |
| - Extensional conservancy: looks for identifying, register and advise technically the owners of native areas that aim at the maintenance and the management of biodiversity. |

| - Communication program about biodiversity: dissemination of good practices in the conservation of areas developed by owners that are ConBio member. |
|
| This project is a way to share successful experiences in the conservation and environmental recovery of native back yards, small farms, natural areas in urbanised and rural areas. This is done in order to move the public towards these initiatives and transmit appropriate information on the theme of Biodiversity Conservation. |
